As informed, the Act focuses on building institutional support for green shipping corridors, which are routes connecting eco-friendly ports operated by green vessels to reduce emissions across the shipping industry. It requires the Minister of Oceans and Fisheries to develop and implement a five-year master plan for corridor development.
