ADVISORIES ARE AVAILABLE AT http://www.pancanal.com FOR ETAS OR DIRECT COMMUNICATION WITH OUR OFFICES, REFER TO NOTICE N-3-2020 Panama Canal Authority Vice Presidency for Operations Advisory to Shipping No. A-11-2022 March 15, 2022 TO : All Shipping Agents, Owners, and Operators SUBJECT: Unscheduled Lane Outage at Pedro Miguel Locks Beginning at 2200 hours Monday, March 21, 2022, until 0200 hours Tuesday, March 22, 2022 (4 hours), and from 2200 hours Tuesday March 22, 2022 until 0200 hours Wednesday, March 23, 2022 (4 hours), both Lanes of Pedro Miguel Locks will be simultaneously out of service for emergency repairs to the center wall valves. As a result, the number of slots available for vessels under 27.74m (91 feet) in beam will be reduced to five for Monday, March 21, 2022, and for Tuesday, March 22, 2022. Of the five slots, a maximum of three slots may be allocated to vessels going in the northbound direction, and a maximum of two slots may be allocated to vessels going in the southbound direction. The auctioned slot for vessels under 27.74m (91 feet) in beam, as well as the auctioned slot for vessels under 32.61 meters (107 feet) in beam and less than 294.44 meters (966 feet) in length overall, will not be offered for Monday, March 21, 2022 nor for Tuesday, March 22, 2022. The slots for Neopanamax vessels will remain unchanged during this period. The Just-in-Time Transit service slots for supers will remain at one per direction.
