Gibraltar saw 553 calls for bunkers in June , up significantly from 472 a year earlier, but down from a record 599  calls reported in May , according to the latest data from Gibraltar Port Authority . An average of 478 monthly calls for bunkers were recorded in the first six months of this year, up from 425 average for the same period last year. The gross tonnage calling at the western side of Gibraltar , where bunkering takes place, reached 20.4 million GT in June , down from 22 million GT in May , but higher than 18.5 million GT recorded a year ago. Gibraltar ’s VLSFO averaged $672.5/mt in June , down from $783/mt in May , but still higher than $542.5/mt recorded a year ago, according to Ship & Bunker price data. Ship & Bunker's G20-VLSFO Index of average prices across 20 leading bunkering ports was $782/mt in June , compared to $900/mt in the previous month and $554/mt in June 2025 .
