Image Credit: Port of Antwerp-Bruges  Port of Antwerp-Bruges has announced the start of commercial green hydrogen production by Power to Hydrogen at the NextGen District . The facility can produce up to 70 mt/year of green hydrogen, using renewable electricity and hybrid AEM-alkaline technology, Port of Antwerp-Bruges said in a LinkedIn post. The hydrogen is intended to supply the region’s fuel, chemical and mobility sectors, with the project designed as a step towards larger multi-megawatt production systems. The facility features 250 kW electrolyser, capable of producing 5 kg/hour of green hydrogen. “Supported by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF/EFRO) and VLAIO, this project shows the power of collaboration between technology innovators, industry, and public partners,” Port of Antwerp-Bruges said.
