ADVISORIES ARE AVAILABLE AT http://www.pancanal.com FOR ETAS OR DIRECT COMMUNICATION WITH OUR OFFICES, REFER TO NOTICE N-3-2020 Panama Canal Authority Vice Presidency for Operations Advisory to Shipping No. A-36-2021 September 1, 2021 TO : All Shipping Agents, Owners, and Operators SUBJECT: New Tolls Proposal for Passenger Vessels The Board of Directors of the Panama Canal Authority (ACP) has approved a proposal to modify the tolls structure of passenger vessels and the regulation for the admeasurement of vessels at the Panama Canal, which will be effective on February 1, 2022. The last modifications made to the toll structure for passenger vessels were implemented on April 1, 2016. The proposal eliminates maximum berth capacity as the unit of measurement and establishes for all passenger vessels, the toll calculation based on PC / UMS tonnage capacity (Panama Canal / Universal Measurement System). At this time, no adjustments will be made to PC / UMS rates effective since 2016, considering that the passenger ship industry will begin a period of recovery from the adverse effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Interested parties are invited to participate in the consultation period and public hearing of this tolls process. During the consultation period, parties may present data, opinions, and statements in writing, in English or Spanish. Parties may also participate in the public hearing, directly or through their duly accredited representatives, provided that they have announced in writing, during the consultation period, their intent to participate in the hearing as speakers. All information shall be submitted by email to customerelations@pancanal.com, in English or Spanish. In accordance with established rules, the ACP will consider all correspondence received during this consultation period, which will extend until 4:15 p.m. (local time), October 1, 2021. Comments and opinions presented by certified speakers during the public hearing, scheduled for October 5, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. (local time), will also be considered. This hearing will be held virtually, due to COVID-19 restrictions. For more information regarding the consultation process, addresses and specific guidelines, please refer to Sections 4 through 8 in Annex A of the proposal. To obtain an electronic copy of the proposal in both English and Spanish, you may visit www.pancanal.com/peajes We look forward to your participation in this process. ORIGINAL SIGNED Ilya R.
