AET at Marine Money 2026: Advancing a Multi-Fuel Pathway Through Collaboration in International Shipping News 28/04/2026 Chris Cattermole, AET’s Head of Sustainability, joined global maritime and finance leaders at Marine Money 2026, held as part of Singapore Maritime Week on 22 April 2026, where he shared AET’s perspective on navigating the energy transition amid evolving commercial realities. Speaking on the panel Energy Transition vs. Commercial Reality, Chris highlighted AET’s multi-fuel pathway towards decarbonisation, including LNG, ammonia, ethanol and battery-hybrid technologies – designed to balance long-term sustainability ambitions with our charterer’s operational needs and commercial requirements. He emphasised that AET is moving forward proactively to embed optionality into its strategy as the regulatory landscape continues to evolve. A key theme of his remarks was the role of commercial structures in supporting the transition. Chris shared that AET has, in partnership with charterers, developed innovative commercial arrangements that share risk and reward for decarbonisation measures to enable decarbonisation progress through highly uncertain times. Through these collaborations, AET is creating practical, commercially viable solutions that deliver value for AET and its partners while accelerating meaningful change. Chris also underscored the need for greater collaboration across the maritime ecosystem. As the industry navigates fuel optionality, energy efficient technology adoption and regulatory uncertainty, he encouraged stronger partnerships and knowledge-sharing to build collective resilience and drive meaningful change.
