Odfjell Technology, a spinoff of Odfjell Drilling that specialises in offshore operations, has signed a contract with Repsol Norge for drilling services on Yme Inspirer jack-up rig. The contract services include drilling, completion, re-completion, well intervention, maintenance, engineering, and future plug and abandonment work. The contract will begin in the second quarter of 2024 and is a firm five-year contract with two optional periods of three years each. The estimated contract value is NOK 400m ($38.1m) for the firm period and NOK 1bn ($95.44m) including options. “Our long track record as a platform drilling contractor and manager of jack-up operations has contributed to securing this contract”, said Kurt Meinert Fjell, EVP of operations at Odfjell Technology. The Yme Inspirer, previously the Maersk Inspirer before it was sold in 2021, works on the Repsol-operated namesake Yme field in the North Sea as a jack-up production facility. googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1_95_0_1_2'); }); TagsNorway
