The Port of Liège and Euroports Inland Terminals have signed a 30-year concession agreement for the Clermont-sous-Huy port area in Engis, signed on September 15, 2026, marking a new milestone in the development of port infrastructure and multimodality in the Liège region. The concession covers a strategically located strip of land between the quay along the Meuse and the sites operated by Euroports Inland Terminals, with the quay fully funded by the Wallonia Public Service for Mobility and Infrastructure. In the long term, the investments are expected to create around 15 jobs and enable the annual transport of several hundred thousand tonnes of goods by waterway. The terminal incorporates environmental facilities including a dust extraction and filtration system and a photovoltaic installation.
