Effective July 1, Hamburg’s MPC Capital will merge the shipbroking activities of Harper Peterson and Albis Shipping & Transport. Operating under the joint brands of Harper Petersen, covering containers and S&P, and Harper Petersen Albis, covering tankers and bulkers, MPC Capital said the merger will enhance its service offerings and global presence. “With offices in Germany, Singapore, China, and the Netherlands, we are poised to better serve customers with diversified fleets and provide more comprehensive services,” MPC Capital stated in a release. The Hamburg broking scene has seen some consolidation in recent years. The UK’s SSY bought F3 Offshore last year, while two Hamburg-based shipbroking companies ARA Shipbrokers and JP Maritime Services & Broking (JPMSB) agreed to join forces last July. googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1_95_0_1_2'); }); TagsGermany
