GXO Logistics has launched a 10-year logistics partnership with Columbia Sportswear Company in Europe. Under the agreement, GXO is now managing Columbia Sportswear’s distribution centre in Cambrai, northern France. The facility serves as Columbia’s main distribution hub for continental Europe. It supports e-commerce orders, retail replenishment and wholesale distribution across several European markets. GXO will manage inbound logistics, storage, order fulfilment and outbound distribution from the site. Columbia reshapes European distribution The new agreement forms part of Columbia Sportswear’s wider logistics transformation in Europe. In August, the company also signed a five-year agreement with Maersk covering the UK and Ireland. Under that deal, Columbia is moving its UK and Ireland distribution activities from Cambrai to Maersk’s facility in Tamworth, near Birmingham. Container News As a result, the Cambrai facility will remain focused on continental European markets under GXO. “Our team has delivered a seamless transition of this critical distribution operation, and together we have established a multi-year roadmap that is designed to enhance agility and strengthen Columbia Sportswear’s supply chain across the region,” said Vincent Ricci, Managing Director, GXO France. GXO expands European logistics operations GXO operates more than 60 warehouses in France and employs nearly 8,500 people in the country. The company provides logistics services across several sectors, including e-commerce, retail, consumer goods and technology. The Co
