CLARKSONS PLATOU HELLAS – SnP WEEKLY BULLETIN in Weekly Shipbuilding Reports 03/04/2026 This week in the S&P market, Owners appeared to be adopting a more cautious, wait-and-see approach towards engaging in new deals. At the same time prices continued following the upward trend of the past months and we saw numerous transactions concluding – particularly stemming from negotiations initiated in previous weeks. Notably, attention has remained drawn to the Dry Bulk sector: Greeks are showing continued interest in ~15-year-old Kamsarmax tonnage, confirming a healthy demand in this segment. At the same time, Asian buyers demonstrated appetite for well-priced Supramaxes. Dry Cargo In the Supramax sector, the PETRUS (ABT 57K DWT, 2011, STX JINGHAE) was sold for a price in the high USD 13m’s, and the MERCURY OCEAN (ABT 53K DWT, 2008, IWAGI ZOSEN) achieved a price of low USD 13m from Chinese buyers – both vessels surveys due in April 26’. We are hearing as well of a 2009 55K DWT Hyundai Vinashin built Supramax being sold for USD 13.4m. In the Handysize front, the DL OLIVE (ABT 35K DWT, 2013, SPP) was acquired by Greek interests for USD 15.3m and the ATLANTIC SPIRIT (ABT 35K DWT, 2013, NANJING) achieved a price in the mid-high 12m’s. On the smaller side, the SAFI FORTUNE (ABT 28K DWT, 2009, IMABARI) sold at around USD 9.7m. Tanker In the wet segment, activity was particularly focused on product tankers. The Chinese-built LR1 sister vessels, PM IMPERIAL and PM MONARCH (ABT 76K DWT, 2007, DALIAN) were reported sold enbloc for xs USD 20m each. In the MR space, the Korean-built eco-vessels of Scorpio, STI BROOKLYN and STI BLACK HAWK (ABT 50K DWT, 2015, SPP / HMD, SCRUBBER), were concluded at around USD 35m each, both fitted with scrubbers and expected for delivery in Q2. Lastly, the MR1 ACADIAN (ABT 37K DWT, 2005, HYUNDAI MIPO, SCRUBBER) was reported sold at around USD 10.2m to Turkish buyers.
