FacebookTwitterEmailLinkedin A new European maritime initiative, SeaThrive (Supporting Maritime Alternative Fuel Projects), has been launched to speed up the development of alternative fuel solutions in shipping. Coordinated by the Norwegian maritime cluster Maritime CleanTech, the 30-month EU-funded project officially kicked off in Brussels on May 20–21, 2026. Backed by nearly €2 million under the Horizon Europe programme, SeaThrive aims to help early-stage fuel concepts move from initial ideas to investment-ready projects.
