Hapag-Lloyd has suspended new bookings to Manila, Batangas and Subic Bay due to continued congestion and severe depot capacity constraints in the Philippines. The suspension covers cargo from all origins and across all trade lanes. It is currently scheduled to remain in place until 31 December 2026. Destination Location code Manila PHMNL Batangas PHBTG Subic Bay PHSFS Hapag-Lloyd said limited empty-container return capacity and growing backlogs are placing additional pressure on the affected locations. The carrier will not accept new bookings to the three destinations during the suspension. For existing bookings, its customer service teams will contact customers if cancellations or revised arrangements are required. Customers with cargo already in transit have been advised to contact their local Hapag-Lloyd representative for shipment-specific information. The carrier is working with local partners to address the backlog and improve container flows. Any change to the suspension period will be communicated separately.
