The incident happened about 88 nautical miles south-west of Balhaf in Yemen at 4:30 AM UTC on Wednesday , the UK Maritime Trade Operations agency said in a social media post. "A cargo vessel has reported being approached by one craft with six armed persons onboard," the agency said. "There was an exchange of fire between the small craft and the cargo vessel's armed security team, resulting in the small craft turning away."
