The Port Authority of Valencia has updated its ValenciaportPCS platform with a new feature enabling users to generate the Electronic Administrative Control Document, known as the DeCA, effective October 5. The update facilitates compliance with new transport regulations in an agile and centralised manner. The key benefit of the update lies in automation. In addition to manual DeCA entry, the platform now enables the document to be generated directly from a Unified Transport Document, eliminating the need for duplicate data entry, streamlining the logistics process and reducing the risk of human error. Once generated, the DeCA is immediately accessible to all parties involved and is published in a public repository accessible via QR code scan. Contractual Shippers and Actual Carriers now share a common environment within ValenciaportPCS where they can manage, share and consult their DeCAs with full transparency and security. Users with technical queries can contact the ValenciaportPCS User Support Centre, while specific details on the underlying regulations are available on the Ministry of Transport’s official website.
