Summary As from 1 October 2018, ships as below are required to use low sulphur content fuel not exceeding 0.5%m/m Ships navigating in Shanghai port area (Shanghai Maritime Safety Administration issued a formal notice on 27 August 2018) Ships destined for Ningbo or Zhoushan in Yangtze River Delta ECA (Zhejiang Maritime Safety Administration issued a formal notice on 30 August 2018) Ships entering Suzhou and Nantong ECA area in Yangtze River Delta ECA (Jiangsu Maritime Safety Administration issued a notice dated 27 August 2018)   Please refer to the correspondent’s circular attached for more details. In addition, members are kindly requested to obtain more advice from their local agents in China and comply with their advice in case of actual navigations or anchoring in ECA.
