Norway’s Island Offshore has picked up work for its anchor handling tug supply and light construction vessel Island Vanguard. Brokers report the 2007-built unit fixed to Aker BP for at least 35 days for Alvheim FPSO work at an undisclosed dayrate. Earlier this year, the vessel also worked for the same operator supporting the Scarabeo 8 semisub rig and for ConocoPhillips Norway backing the West Linus rig, including the use of a work-class remotely operated vehicle. Island Offshore has a diversified fleet of about 20 operational vessels with three multipurpose anchor handlers.
