Gibraltar saw 476 bunker calls in August, up from 449 a year ago and 464 in the previous month of July, according to the latest data released by the Gibraltar Port Authority this week. An average of 544 monthly calls for bunkers were recorded in the first eight months of this year, up from 492 average for the same period last year. The gross tonnage calling at the western side of Gibraltar , where bunkering takes place, reached 19.95 million GT in August , up from 19.63 million GT in July and 19.15 million GT recorded a year ago. Gibraltar’s VLSFO averaged $691.5/mt in August , up from $664.5/mt in July and higher than $515.5/mt recorded a year ago, a ccording to Ship & Bunker price data .
