Aunofo Havea has been attending Northeast Maritime Institute for the last three months putting decades of experience towards acquiring her licence in compliance with the International Convention on Standards of Training and Certification for Watchkeepers and Seafarers, 1978, as amended. Aunofo is a world famous Voyager and was the motivation for the movie character Moana. She has received her Master 500 GT or less license and the first woman from the Island of Tonga to receive this achievement and shall serve as the Northeast Maritime Institute Ambassador for the Polynesian islands.
