FacebookTwitterEmailLinkedin Japan has proposed changes to planned shipping emissions rules under the proposed IMO’s Net-Zero Framework (NZF), in a new submission to the Marine Environment Protection Committee (MEPC) which will meet for its 84th session from 27 April-1 May 2026. According to Japan’s submission, at MEPC/ES.2, Member States expressed differing views on the draft amendments.
