Cyprus-based Nasdaq-listed bulker and boxship owner Castor Maritime is bolstering its fleet with a secondhand 1,850 teu vessel worth $16.49m. The Petros Panagiotidis-led company said the unnamed 2009-built boxship would deliver by October this year and go on a 4-month charter at $29,000 per day. Castor will finance the deal with an unaffiliated third party with cash on hand. The company currently owns a fleet of 11 vessels, including two 2,700 teu boxships acquired in late November 2022. googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1_95_0_1_2'); }); TagsCyprus
