Malaysia’s Lianson Fleet Group (LFG), formerly known as Icon Offshore, has sold one of its anchor handling tug and supply vessels to an undisclosed buyer in the United Arab Emirates. The 2015-built Malaysian-flagged DP-1 anchor handler Yinson Hermes was sold for RM40.65m ($10m). According to the company, the consideration was reached on a willing-buyer and willing-seller basis, reflecting market values for comparable vessels. The disposal is part of the company’s fleet rejuvenation efforts to modernise and replace assets in line with oil and gas industry demands. The net proceeds from the vessel sale will be used for general corporate purposes and to support the company’s future growth and strategic initiatives. Lianson Fleet added that the sale is also in line with its strategy to diversify from a pure-play OSV provider and its desire to move into other vessel asset classes to support new markets. googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1_95_0_1_2'); }); TagsMalaysia United Arab Emirates
