Hot on the heels of its first sale this year, Greek bulker player DryDel Shipping is being linked to another ultramax deal. Multiple brokers, including Clarksons, report the Costas Dellaportas-led company is shipping out the 2010 Oshima-built 61,600 dwt Luna Rossa to an undisclosed Chinese buyer in a deal worth around $20.5m. DryDel, formerly Meadway Shipping and Trading, bought the vessel as Ultra Prosperity from Japan’s Nagashiki Kisen in December 2020 for a reported $11.9m. Last month, the company was widely tipped by S&P sources to be offloading the 2018-built scrubber-fitted ultramax Velvet for $36m. DryDel has been approached for comment.
