A Greece-flagged tanker was boarded yesterday by two knife-wielding individuals while transiting eastbound in the Singapore Strait, the latest in a string of robbery incidents in the area. The attack took place approximately 2.7 nautical miles northwest of Indonesia’s Pemping Island, according to UK maritime security specialists Ambrey. The tanker was sailing at 9.7 knots and had an estimated freeboard of 6.35 m during the incident.
