Moller-Maersk, and the Port of Rotterdam have jointly undertaken a development project examining the safety and regulatory implications of a nuclear-powered feeder vessel calling at the Port of Rotterdam. The resulting white paper “Enabling Nuclear-Powered Feeder Ships” sets out the findings of this joint development project (JDP), which assesses the conditions under which a civil nuclear-powered ship could safely and compliantly operate within an EU port environment.
