Kpler, one of the biggest maritime data providers, has announced a leadership succession with co-founders François Cazor and Jean Maynier deciding to promote Mark Cunningham to the role of CEO. They formed the company in 2013 from Cazor’s kitchen in Paris. The company’s ambition over the coming years is to reach $1bn in annual recurring revenue, which will involve expanding into new products and verticals, as well as pursuing strategic M&A activity. Kpler has now established itself as one of the big brands in the data analytics business, a sector that has experienced significant consolidation over the past couple of years.
