The events brought together representatives from government, ports, shipowners, energy suppliers, technology providers and academia to advance cooperation on clean energy transition and maritime decarbonization in Dalian, Northeast China and beyond.One of the highlights of the event program was the three thematic workshops, focusing on integrated decarbonization solutions, electrification, and LNG. The integrated decarbonization solutions, designed and hosted by BV, explored how technological, operational and regulatory measures can be integrated to accelerate progress toward zero- and near-zero-emission shipping. Structured around three breakout themes – Energy and Operational Efficiency, Regulatory Pathways and Emerging Technologies – the workshop facilitated in-depth dialogue on practical strategies to combine efficiency improvements, advanced propulsion systems and policy mechanisms into coherent, actionable solutions.BV experts also contributed to the Electrification and LNG workshops, sharing technical perspectives on safe implementation, regulatory readiness and the role of classification in ensuring the reliability of emerging energy infrastructure and technologies. Across all sessions, the company reinforced the importance of collaboration among shipowners, ports, energy suppliers and regulators to align safety, innovation and environmental performance in the transition to clean shipping.During the conferences, BV shared insights on clean energy transition policies and demand in Europe, examining how regulatory developments, fuel availability and investment trends can inform Asia’s strategy for building resilient and scalable decarbonization frameworks.
