FacebookTwitterEmailLinkedin The Bahamas has regained eligibility for the United States Coast Guard’s QUALSHIP 21 programme for the 2026–27 period, underscoring the strong Port State Control performance of Bahamas-flagged vessels calling at United States ports. As noted in the USCG’s 2025 Port State Control Annual Report, The Bahamas is among the flag administrations recognised as eligible for the QUALSHIP 21 programme from 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2027. The report recorded 591 Port State Control examinations involving Bahamas-flagged ships during 2025, with only one detention and a three-year detention ratio of 0.55%.
