Singapore shipyard group Seatrium has revealed a new series of repairs and upgrade contracts worth in total about S$100m ($76m). The contracts from various long-standing clients cover a range of projects, including carbon capture and storage (CCS) retrofits, LNG carriers, offshore vessels and tankers amongst others. The CCS retrofit, Seatrium’s second year to date, is for MOL’s LR1 tanker Nexus Victoria (pictured), scheduled to start in December. Offshore refits include a jackup rig from COSL and McDermott’s pipelayer. The yard has also been tasked to carry out scheduled maintenance on two tankers including one tanker from Crowley Alaska Tanker, and repairs on two LPG carriers and three boxships.
