GTT Marine has partnered with BetterSea to integrate FuelEU Maritime trading and pooling capabilities into its Vesper Insights platform. The agreement will allow shipping companies to manage and execute FuelEU compliance activities directly through Vesper Insights. FuelEU trading and pooling added to Vesper Insights Under the white-label integration, Vesper Insights users will gain access to BetterSea’s FuelEU infrastructure without leaving the GTT Marine platform. The integration will include access to BetterSea’s marketplace, where companies can manage FuelEU trading and pooling. Users will also be able to simulate different compliance options and assess their potential cost exposure. Pooling and post-trade workflows will be supported alongside tools for tracking pool performance. The platform will also provide capabilities for THETIS reporting, covering the reporting stage of the FuelEU compliance process. Shipping companies gain end-to-end compliance tools FuelEU Maritime requires shipping companies to manage the greenhouse gas intensity of energy used by vessels calling at European ports. The regulation also provides compliance mechanisms such as pooling, allowing eligible vessels to combine their compliance balances under specified conditions. The BetterSea integration is designed to connect these compliance calculations with the execution of pooling and trading transactions. “This partnership with GTT Marine marks an important step in our mission to make FuelEU compliance and pooling easier to access and execute,” said Maximilian Schroer, Co-CEO of BetterSea.
