Scorpio Tankers has offloaded four mid-range product tankers to Danish owner Torm, brokers report. On Friday, the Monaco-headquartered company led by Emanuele Lauro announced it had signed agreements to sell four 2014-built, scrubber-fitted MRs — STI Battery, STI Venere, STI Milwaukee and STI Yorkville — for about $32m apiece. The deals are expected to close in the first quarter of 2026. A day earlier, Torm revealed that it had entered into contracts to acquire four 2014-built MR tankers as part of its ongoing fleet renewal programme. Over the weekend, brokers confirmed that the two announcements are linked, identifying Torm as the buyer in the Scorpio sale. The transactions extend an active year of buying and selling for the Copenhagen-listed product tanker owner, which has been fine-tuning its fleet mix amid firm asset prices and strong earnings in the MR segment. googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1_95_0_1_2'); }); TagsDenmark Monaco
