Container Report – Week 21 in International Shipping News 25/05/2026 Container Global container freight rates rallied this week on the major trade lanes excluding Far East, all were stronger over the past week. Whilst other worldwide trade lanes sat fairly range bound. On the Pacific loop we saw FBX01 (China/East Asia – US West Coast) increase by $339 week-on-week ending the week at $3,153, this route has been continuing to increase since early April and is now $580 above its level then. FBX03 (China/East Asia – US East Coast) has rocketed up by $1,020 to $5,035 in a week, this is $1,556 up from the start of April. Into Europe, FBX11 (China/East Asia – North Europe) nudged slightly upwards by $105 week on week, settling at $2,914. We have seen further increases into the Mediterranean with FBX13 (China/East Asia – Mediterranean) continuing to increase week on week, this week up $571 on last Friday and $1,051 on a fortnight ago, settling the week at $4,504.
