Solstad Offshore has agreed revised terms with Petrobras for the anchor handling tug supply vessel Normand Turquesa, extending the ship’s current work and pushing back the start of a previously announced long-term charter. The Norwegian offshore owner said the existing contract for the 2007-built AHTS has been extended by one year. At the same time, the four-year contract announced in July last year will now start in the first quarter of 2027, rather than the first quarter of 2026. The changes add around $15.4m in gross contract value and leave Normand Turquesa fixed to Petrobras until January 2031. Taken together, the contracts carry a total gross value of about $100m. Solstad first disclosed the four-year Petrobras award in July 2025, when it said the deal for Normand Turquesa had been secured through a tender earlier in the year, subject to board approval.
