An explanatory notice of the amendments introduced in ES-TRIN 2019/1 has been placed on line: https://www.cesni.eu/en/actualites/cesni-meeting-on-10-april-2019/ This notice includes a summary of the amendments made between ES-TRIN 2017 and 2019. The main amendments are: A) Automated external defibrillators B) Firefighting systems - K2CO3 C) Electric propulsion D) Transitional provisions Transitional provisions on noise emission limits in accommodations Transitional provisions on engines Transitional provisions on electrical equipment and systems Transitional provisions on dinghies Transitional provisions on escape routes on passenger vessels Transitional provisions for propulsion systems on passenger vessels Transitional provisions for safety devices aft of the aft-peak bulkhead Transitional provisions governing side decks and guard rails. Information is given about the requirements behind each amendment and the consequences associated thereto. At the end of the notice there are editorial corrections and details about the deletion of transitional provisions which have expired. ES-TRIN 2019/1 will enter into force on 01.01.2020.
