Japanese shipping line Nippon Yusen Kaisha (NYK) has sealed a long-term charter deal with compatriot JERA for one LNG carrierto be built in South Korea. The Tokyo-headquartered behemoth has fixed a 174,000 cu m unit scheduled for delivery from Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries in 2027. The deal is the eleventh LNG carrier charter NYK secured with Japan’s largest utility.
