FacebookTwitterEmailLinkedin India has warned that the widening conflict in the Gulf is imposing risks on commercial shipping and seafarers from countries with no direct involvement in the fighting, with Indian crew members among those caught in recent attacks. Addressing the general debate of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly in New York, India’s External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar said the consequences of regional conflicts were increasingly extending into international waters and disrupting maritime trade routes far beyond the areas of fighting.
