Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) has combined its West Mediterranean–West Africa and West Mediterranean–Red Sea services into a single network, creating a broader rotation linking Europe, West Africa and the Red Sea. The revised service is designed to optimise vessel deployment while maintaining direct connections across several key regional markets. By integrating the two services, MSC aims to streamline operations and provide customers with wider port coverage through one rotation. The new service will call Valencia, Barcelona, Tanger Med, Abidjan, Tema, Lomé, Takoradi, Abidjan, Douala, Kribi, Pointe Noire, Matadi, Pointe Noire, Takoradi, Jeddah, Aqaba and Valencia . The updated rotation combines major export and transshipment hubs in the western Mediterranean with important gateways across West and Central Africa before continuing to the Red Sea. The network serves a wide range of cargo flows, including consumer goods, industrial products and agricultural exports. By merging the two services, MSC is expected to improve network efficiency while offering customers additional routing options between Africa, Europe and the Middle East. The change also reduces the need for separate services serving overlapping regional markets.
