American Club Circular No. 24/13 1 SEPTEMBER 23, 2013 CIRCULAR NO. 24/13 TO MEMBERS OF THE ASSOCIATION Dear Member: MANAGEMENT NEWS Your Managers regret to announce that, after fifteen years’ sterling service to the American Club, Ian Farr, Managing Director of SCB (UK) Limited, will be leaving the company at the end of 2013. Ian will be embarking upon a very different career, far removed from the practice of marine insurance, as the owner of a country hotel in the south western part of Great Britain. The warmest thanks are extended to Ian for his exceptional service to the Club over the years, with very best wishes for the future to him and his family. Brian Davies will be taking over Ian’s responsibilities as Managing Director of the London office with effect from January 1, 2014. A highly respected figure, well known to Members, brokers and within the P&I market at large, Brian has himself been an important part of the management team for many years. We wish him every success in the fulfilment of his new role.
