FacebookTwitterEmailLinkedin The Finnish Transport and Communications Agency Traficom completed its port state control inspection of the tanker Eagle S. and based on the deficiencies of the vessel detained the ship. The controversial tanker, suspected of damaging the sea cables in the Baltic Sea in December 2024, has been detained after Traficom inspectors observed 32 deficiencies during the port state control (PSC) inspection of the ship with three of them so serious that they led to the detention of the ship. The deficiencies concerned the ship’s fire safety, navigation equipment and pump room ventilation.
