What happened In the early morning of 08 December 2022, the Bahamas registered roll-on, roll-off cargo vessel and the Jersey registered fishing vessel were approaching each other off the west coast of Jersey. As a close quarters situation developed, the officer of the watch on the cargo vessel made two small alterations of course to starboard – resulting in a small closest point of approach and bow crossing range.
