The incident happened about 15 nautical miles north-east of Masirah at 10:44 AM UTC on Monday, the UK Maritime Trade Operations agency said in a social media post. "A tanker has experienced a fire onboard resulting in the evacuation of crew," the agency said. "Omani and Indian authorities are coordinating the response. "There are no reports of environmental impact at present." The report gives no indication of whether the fire was accidental or as the result of an attack. Several facilities have come under attack in Oman since the outbreak of conflict in and around Iran at the end of February .
