A total of 126,563 m3 of marine fuel sales were recorded last month, down by 20.3% from March ’s record low level and by 81.1% from April 2025 , according to the latest data from the Fujairah Oil Industry Zone and S&P Global Commodity Insights . The steep decline in sales was largely expected as shipping activity around the Strait of Hormuz remained disrupted by the Iran conflict. “ HSFO accounted for 29.4% of April bunker sales, up from 28.29% last year But the figures suggested bunkering activity at Fujairah continued at reduced levels even after the US-Iran temporary ceasefire announced at the start of April . 180 CST VLSFO sales slipped by 38.8% on the year to 542 m3 . 380 CST VLSFO sales plunged by 81.6% on the year to 81,460 m3 in April and 17.1% from March volumes.
