ADVISORIES ARE AVAILABLE AT http://www.pancanal.com FOR ETAS OR DIRECT COMMUNICATION WITH OUR OFFICES, REFER TO NOTICE N-3-2020 Panama Canal Authority Vice Presidency for Operations Advisory to Shipping No. A-23-2022 July 7, 2022 TO : All Shipping Agents, Owners, and Operators SUBJECT: Scheduled Lane Outage at Miraflores Locks and the Transit Reservation System (Revision 1) Beginning at 0001 hours on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, until 2359 hours on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 (9 days), the East lane of Miraflores Locks will be out of service for scheduled maintenance. As a result, and in accordance with the rules governing the Transit Reservation System (OP Notice to Shipping No. N-7-2022), Condition 2 for the Panamax locks will be in effect from Tuesday, July 12, 2022, through Wednesday, July 20, 2022, with the following modifications: At the opening of the third booking period for each date, one additional slot for supers will be offered during the competition, in addition to the slot offered through the auction process once the competition has closed. Applications for reserved transits while Condition 2 is in effect will be received beginning at 0900 hours on Saturday, July 9, 2022. The Just-In-Time (JIT) transit slots available for supers will be reduced to one for each direction while Condition 2 is in effect, whereas the JIT slots for regular vessels transiting without restrictions will remain at one for each direction. The booking slot available through the auction process for regular vessels will not be offered during this period. The slots offered to Neopanamax vessels will remain unchanged.
