Hellenic Cables, the cables segment of Cenergy Holdings, has signed a partnership agreement with Leading Light Wind, an offshore wind project located off the coast of New Jersey to supply some of the project’s inter-array cables. The cable firm will supply 65 km of 132kV inter-array cables, a part of the project’s total inter-array cable needs. Leading Light Wind is developed by lead developer Invenergy and co-developer energyRe. Leading Light Wind, the only American-led project in the New York Bight lease area, will be able to generate 2.4GW of energy, enough to power up to 1m homes annually while offsetting 4m tonnes of CO2 emissions each year once operational.
