The company plans to equip 45 of its company-owned ships, including car carriers and bulk carriers, with the low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite system, which enables high-speed connectivity even in open seas. Hyundai Glovis highlighted that the enhanced connectivity will improve maritime safety by enabling real-time communication with shore during emergencies such as vessel breakdowns, severe weather, or onboard accidents.
