The arrival of Spring inspires wave of activity for LISW27 in International Shipping News 12/03/2026 London International Shipping Week 2027 (LISW27) may still be 550 days or some 18 months away, but as those familiar with LISW know, time moves quickly. A wide range of high-profile partners have already moved swiftly to secure their preferred sponsorship positions, recognising that early commitment translates directly into enhanced visibility, PR and marketing impact in the lead-up to the event. Inmarsat, headline sponsor of LISW since its launch in 2013, has secured the exclusive ‘Brought to you by…’ position, ensuring the British satellite telecommunications company will remain omnipresent before, during and after LISW27. American class society ABS has stepped up again to sponsor the 2,000 guest LISW27 Gala Dinner at Evolution London, while HFW, another of LISW’s longest-serving supporters, has renewed its sponsorship of the prestigious Gala Reception that precedes it. Throughout the glittering event, guests will be all over their social media, thanks to WTW Willis’s continuing sponsorship of the Gala Dinner WiFi, and following last year’s runaway success, a fleet of vintage London buses, generously sponsored for the second time by the Bahamas Maritime Authority, will be ‘taking people home’ after the dinner. The Port of London Authority, proud to call London – and the River Thames – its home, has come on board as the LISW27 Host Port. At the LISW27 Headline Conference at the headquarters of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), the audience of 750 senior industry and government professionals will wear badges and lanyards sponsored by UK P&I Club, while Gibraltar Maritime – representing the port, flag, university and local maritime sector – will sponsor the post-Conference IMO Rooftop Reception overlooking the Thames and the Houses of Parliament. Norton Rose Fulbright and class society DNV are both returning as Platinum sponsors. The China Classification Society and COSCO, which both joined for the first time in 2025, return as joint International Partners for China. ATPI and Qatar Airways have renewed their support as LISW27 Official Travel Partners, and will again support the Market Open Ceremony at the London Stock Exchange, traditionally the first formal event of London International Shipping Week. Another returning company, Natpower Marine, which has over two decades of global expertise in clean power generation and distribution, has again become Sector Partner: Marine Power. Stream Marine Training has confirmed as a Gold Sponsor, while France’s international ship register, RIF, technical and scientific consultancy Brookes Bell, legal firms Quadrant Chambers and Twenty Essex and Italian insurance broker Cambiaso Risso, have all signed as Silver Sponsors. Leading the surge in Bronze sponsorship sign-ups are law firms Stephenson Harwood and HF, and Isle of Man Maritime. With strong early demand and several premium packages already attracting significant interest, organisations are encouraged to confirm participation promptly to secure preferred opportunities.
