Greece’s economy grows 2.0% in first quarter of 2026 in World Economy News 06/06/2026 Greece’s economy expanded in the first quarter of 2026, driven by consumption and exports, while investment spending declined, according to provisional data released Friday by the country’s statistics office. The Hellenic Statistical Authority reported that seasonally adjusted gross domestic product rose 0.2% quarter-on-quarter and 2.0% year-on-year in the first quarter. Consumer and government spending increased 0.6% compared to the fourth quarter of 2025. Investment spending fell 2.5% from the previous quarter. Exports grew 0.3% quarter-on-quarter.
