Japan’s Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL) has ordered another offshore wind farm vessel via its Taiwanese joint venture with Ta Tong Marine. Ta San Shang Marine (TSSM) has returned to Dutch shipbuilder Damen Shipyards for a service operation vessel (SOV) newbuilding slated for delivery at the end of 2026. No price has been revealed. The 87.7-m-long vessel will be built in Vietnam. It is designed to be methanol-ready and will serve offshore wind farms in Taiwan, which are set for buildout and operation in the late 2020s.
