Norway’s Havfram has signed a contract with German clean energy asset manager Luxcara to transport and install wind turbines at the Waterkant offshore wind farm in the German North Sea. The deal with an undisclosed value covers the vessel charter which will be deployed to set up 16 of the foreseen 18.5 MW turbines. Havfram will execute the works during the spring of 2028, using one of its vessels currently under construction at CIMC Raffles in China. “This agreement not only expands our growing client portfolio, but also strengthens our contract backlog,” said Even Larsen, CEO at Havfram Wind, adding: “With our two state-of-the-art wind turbine installation vessels that are due to be delivered second half of 2025, Havfram is perfectly equipped to meet the challenges of the offshore wind industry.” Waterkant will be built approximately 90 km off the island of Borkum and have a capacity of about 270 MW. googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1_95_0_1_2'); }); TagsGermany Norway
