During this session, several amendments were adopted, and the text of further amendments and circulars were approved. Key highlights include: Adopted the non-mandatory Maritime Autonomous Surface Ship (MASS) Code, entering effect from 1 July 2026. An experience building phase will now begin and continued work will take place to develop a mandatory code with a target of entering force in 2032.
